The Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail will have a detour in place on Monday, July 13, 2026, and Tuesday, July 14, 2026, in the area from the pedestrian bridge over Barton Creek to the meeting of Barton Creek and Lady Bird Lake on the creek’s east shore.

Butler Trail users rail will need to use a different route along Barton Springs Rd., Sterzing St., Toomey Rd., and Butler Shores back to the trail. The detour will enable Austin Parks and Recreation Forestry staff to conduct necessary tree work along the trail.
