Temporary suspension of Officer Todd Gilbertson

Chief of Police Lisa Davis determined that Officer Gilbertson's acts violated Civil Service Commission Rule 10.03 and suspended him for forty-five days, from January 28, 2025, to March 13, 2025. An Internal Affairs investigation revealed that Officer Gilbertson violated Civil Service Rules and APD policy when he failed to investigate an alleged family violence incident and appropriately interact with the community member who reported it. Chief Davis concluded that Officer Gilbertson violated the following policies: Insubordination (GO 110.4.4), Impartial Attitude and Courtesy (GO 301.2 (b) and (c)), Customer Service and Community Relations (GO 301.3 (b)), Initial Response and Investigation (GO 401.2 (c) and (d)), Neglect of Duty (GO 900.4.3 (b) (c) and (d)), and Acts Bringing Discredit Upon the Department (GO 900.3.2).
