Project Overview
The Greater South Creek (Elm Creek Drive) Wastewater Pipeline Renewal project is part of Renewing Austin, Austin Water's ongoing program to replace aging water and wastewater infrastructure throughout the city — keeping our services reliable and preparing our system for the needs of the future. The project will restore 5,350 linear feet of deteriorating 24-inch diameter wastewater pipeline along Elm Creek Drive, Blue Meadow Drive and Bluff Springs Road, between East William Cannon Drive and Williamson Creek.
Our contractors will use a process called Cured-In-Place Pipe Lining (CIPP), a trenchless method that repairs aging pipes without excavation. A flexible liner is inserted into the existing pipe, infused with resin and then cured to form a new, durable pipe inside the old one.
Timeline
Construction is expected to begin in fall 2026 and take approximately 13 months to complete.
