The Development Process Team helps homeowners and small businesses navigate the development process. The Development Process Team answers questions about permits and City code, connects customers with technical experts across the City, and offers helpful tools and resources for customers who may be less familiar with the permitting and development process.

Businesses and individuals doing business with the City need to file conflict of interest questionnaires with the City Clerk's office when a relevant conflict exists. The filed forms are online for public access.

Search for official Council meeting records and Council-approved documents by keyword, including records of special-called Council meetings and meetings of the Austin Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC), Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Boards, and Mueller Local Government Corporation (MLGC).

The City Clerk will post public notices, including Rule Postings, Election Notices, Firefighter, Police Officer, and EMS Personnel Civil Service Commission Notices, and other public notices.

The City Clerk's office provides a database of candidates and voting statistics for the City's elections from 1840 to the present. You may access it by candidate name or election date.

Lobbyists must register with the City Clerk’s office. The office keeps a list of all registered lobbyists and their clients available for public use.

The City Clerk's Office has information about filing a conflict of interest with the City.

The public can participate in a council meeting in two ways – through general public communication or by speaking on specific agenda items.

Any communications posted on the City Council Message Board will be retained for a minimum of 6 years.

If you are interested in serving on a board or commission, you may apply online. All applications are retained for one year.

Businesses applying for a liquor license/beer permit from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission are required to obtain the City Clerk's signature on their TABC form after completing the permitting process.
