Austin Arts and Humanities Month

ACME Arts Humanities Month 2026

National Arts & Humanities Month

Every October, Austin joins communities across the country in celebrating Arts & Humanities Month to recognize the artists, musicians, cultural workers, organizations, places, and traditions that shape our city.

For 2026, Austin Arts, Culture, Music and Entertainment (ACME) invites you to experience Austin’s creativity all month long. Visit an exhibition. Hear live music. Explore a cultural center. Discover public art. Attend a festival. Meet local artists. And learn more about how Austin is investing in the future of its creative community.

Find Art. Discover The People’s Gallery, Art in Public Places, exhibitions and galleries.

Feel Music. Experience Austin musicians, venues, festivals and performances.

Explore Culture. Visit cultural centers, museums, heritage sites and creative spaces.

Meet Austin’s Creatives. Get to know the artists, musicians, cultural workers and organizations shaping our city.

Experience Austin. Find performances, festivals, workshops, exhibitions, community celebrations and more throughout October.

Celebrating Austin’s Creativity and Building What Comes Next

October gives us an opportunity to celebrate something Austinites experience every day—Creativity, a part of the identity of our City. Across Austin, artists, musicians, event organizers, cultural organizations and centers, festivals, public art, creative businesses, and community traditions tell the stories of who we are.

Throughout every October, I hope you’ll discover an artist you haven’t encountered before, hear an Austin musician, visit one of our cultural spaces, experience public art in your neighborhood, attend an event, or support one of the many organizations creating cultural experiences across our city.

At ACME, we are proud to celebrate Austin’s creative community and to invest in, support, and work alongside the people who make Austin a place where culture and creativity can thrive.
