Join us for a hands-on community gathering as we celebrate Austin’s urban forest ecosystem by planting our own pocket prairie at the MACC!

Pocket Prairie Planting: Help us install native plants to foster a resilient, climate-ready urban landscape. A pocket prairie is a small, intentionally created area of native plants that mimics a natural prairie ecosystem, providing habitat for wildlife and ecological benefits in urban or suburban spaces.

Seed "Masa" Workshop: Shape and blend native wildflower seeds into a nutrient-rich soil and clay mixture. Take your seed "masa" to plant and create your own pocket prairie at home!

Texas Pollinator/Wildflower Lotería: Play a custom, culturally rooted version of the classic game to learn about our ancestral, historical, and medicinal connections to local biodiversity created by Jesus Garcia and the LBJ Wildflower Center.
