MexAmeriCon is Central Texas' first and only Mexican American and Latinx Comic Book Convention (Comic Con).

Launched in 2018 by Austin natives Javier Salas and Nino Miranda, the event was created to bridge a gap in the Latine comics community and highlight the work of diverse illustrators and storytellers.

Core Features:

Artist & Creator Alley: A dedicated space showcasing Mexican American and Latinx creators working in comic books, graphic novels, zines, manga, fan art, and other pop media. 

Accessibility First: In an effort to support the community, the convention is 100% free to the public and offers free booths to creators, unlike traditional large-scale comic cons. 

Cultural Representation: There is a strong emphasis on representation of Latino/a/e cultural arts. There are Mexican American superheroes, lucha libre, live music, food vendors, artist talks, youth art activities, and traditional games like Lotería.
