The City of Austin is excited to host its 15th Annual Career Expo on April 8, 2026! This highly anticipated event brings together job seekers and employers from across Central Texas for a full day of connection, exploration, and opportunity. Whether you’re launching your career, changing paths, or looking for your next great role, the Career Expo is your chance to meet employers face-to-face and discover what’s possible.

More than 100 employers and resource organizations are expected to attend, including private-sector companies, state agencies, higher education and technical schools, temporary agencies, skilled labor and customer service employers, small businesses, and City of Austin departments. Job seekers are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resume and plan ahead by identifying the employers they most want to visit.

To help you prepare and put your best foot forward, job seekers are encouraged to visit the City of Austin Employment Services Center for free assistance with resumes, interview preparation, and job search strategies before the Career Expo.

Join us for a full day of career exploration, connection, and opportunity. Meet City departments and local employers, participate in onsite interviews, and take the next step in your career.

Parking & Arrival

Free parking is available in the nearby garage at Palmer Events Center
- (QR Codes Will Be Provided to Pre-registrants and regular registrants will receive assistance on site)
Additional street parking is available in the surrounding area if the garage reaches capacity
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early for the best parking availability

Dedicated support will be available for attendees needing assistance, with volunteers and City partners onsite to help

10:00 AM – Opening Ceremony

Welcome and introduction on the main stage (located at the end of the exhibit hall thoroughfare), presented by a representative of Austin Human Resources (AHR)

10:00 AM – 3:00 PM | Exhibit Hall Open

Meet with City departments and participating employers

Announcements will be made periodically throughout the day
Survey tables and staff will be available to gather attendee feedback
Food concessions will be available onsite through the venue for those wishing to purchase meals or snacks
Water stations will be available; attendees are encouraged to bring a reusable water container to help reduce plastic use
A vehicle exhibit will be available, offering a close-up look at equipment and vehicles used by the City and partner organizations to deliver services across the community
Volunteers and staff will be available to assist attendees as needed
