Join the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center - Casa de la Cultura Program, as we give back and kick back at Chicano Park.  Join us at 11:00 AM for Festival Beach Cleanup and 12:00 PM for a free Cumbia Dance Class and family-friendly social cumbia dancing.

** You do NOT have to be a volunteer to join the dance social. Everyone is welcome to cumbia on the dock.

Volunteers are invited to care for Festival Beach and the surrounding lake area through a morning of hands-on volunteer cleanup. Help remove trash along the shoreline and from the water using kayaks. The ESB MACC will provide a 1-hour kayak rental for volunteers interested in helping clean the lake. 1 Kayak to 2 people. We will meet at the Festival Beach Boat Ramp along Nash Hernandez Sr. Rd. at 11:00 AM.

The event concludes with a joyful all ages, family-friendly, cumbia social, celebrating community, culture, and collective care on the boat ramp with music by Dj Cumbia Cuhh.

**Volunteers are asked to bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting wet or dirty. We highly encourage you to bring shades, hats, and sunscreen.
