Sheffield Northwest Pool Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. This is an outdoor event so please dress accordingly.

Austin Parks and Recreation looks forward to welcoming residents back to this revitalized community space. Swimming lessons for a variety of ages and skill levels and lap swim times will be provided. Learn more at AustinTexas.gov/Swimming.

New pool amenities include a 50-meter lap lane pool, zero-entry toddler pool, two shade structures, bench seating, diving board, family restrooms, renovated bath houses, new pool fence and entrance gate, new entrance plaza area, LED deck lights, pool lights, renovated lawn space, trees and ornamental planting. The shade structures were sponsored in part by Austin Parks Foundation.

“These improvements ensure that the Beverly S. Sheffield Northwest Pool will continue to serve our community for generations to come,” said Austin Parks and Recreation Director Jesús Aguirre. “This project reflects the dedication of residents who helped shape the vision for this space, as well as the City’s commitment to providing safe, accessible, and high-quality aquatic facilities for all Austinites.”

Updating the facility started with community engagement in 2022, culminating in an updated plan to ensure this site will continue to be a gem of the community and complement the future vision of Northwest District Park. For more information, visit the Beverly S. Sheffield Northwest Aquatic Facility Renovation page.
