Cafe Crema at Austin Public Library

The City of Austin is pleased to announce the soft launch of Café Crème at the Austin Central Library, located at710 W. César Chávez. Café Crème is a Vietnamese and French locally owned family coffee shop and eatery. Their soft opening marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the space.

“When the Austin Central Library opened, the goal was to create more than just a place for people to check out books downtown; it was to give the entire Austin community a destination for coming together to discover, learn, and create,” stated Interim Central Library Manager Allison Steger. “We are excited that with Café Crème as our new vendor in the Central Library’s café space, a key feature of that destination is coming back for the community.”

The Austin Central Library attracts a diverse group of over 40,000 monthly visitors, including students, professionals, and families. Café Crème will benefit the community by providing a convenient café located in the heart of downtown.

During the soft launch, Café Crème will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with extended hours and menu items in the coming weeks. Until then, guests are encouraged to stop by and grab a coffee or pastry and enjoy an early taste of what’s to come.
