Events held on waterways require additional planning, resources, and approval. Please refer to the City’s Parks and Recreation Department for the Special Events Policies and Procedures. A comprehensive water safety operations plan must be provided which typically includes Lake Patrol, EMS, and PARD review. Water entry events are required to provide open water certified life guards and hire Lake Patrol for water safety.
