The Fort Upper Basin Water and Wastewater Renewal Project will rehabilitate about 6,568 linear feet of wastewater lines and 650 linear feet of water lines linear feet of wastewater lines.

The project will improve the integrity of the wastewater collection system, reduce the likelihood of sanitary sewer overflows and minimize the possibility of future environmental impacts. This project is part of Austin Water’s efforts to replace aging and deteriorating water & wastewater infrastructure.

Austin Water partners with the Public Works Department whose project management staff supervises construction.

 

Timeline

The project is expected to take about 10 months to complete. Construction is expected to begin in March 2022.
