AUSTIN, Texas – Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) has been recognized with the 2025 ASQ Customer Experience Award for Best Airports at Departures: 15 to 25 Million Passengers in North America, presented by Airports Council International World (ACI World).

This prestigious recognition highlights AUS’s commitment to delivering an exceptional passenger experience. The airport has been honored in the past as well, receiving the 2020 Airport Service Quality Award for Best Airport by Size and Region (15 to 25 million passengers per year in North America), further demonstrating its consistent focus on service excellence.

The Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards are widely regarded as the airport industry’s most comprehensive benchmarking program, measuring traveler satisfaction through real-time surveys conducted throughout the passenger journey at the airport. In 2025, ACI collected more than 700,000 passenger surveys from travelers at over 400 airports across 110 countries, evaluating performance across 30 key indicators.

ASQ captures feedback in the moment, measuring the passenger experience at each stage of the airport journey. The program provides AUS with actionable data to identify trends, benchmark performance, and evolve to meet changing traveler expectations.

“This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our entire AUS team and our partners who work tirelessly to enhance the passenger experience,” said Ghizlane Badawi, AUS Chief Executive Officer. “As we continue to expand our infrastructure and modernize our airport, we remain focused on delivering a seamless, welcoming, and efficient journey for every traveler that passes through AUS.”

“Being honored with an ASQ Customer Experience Award by ACI highlights Austin-Bergstrom International Airport's commitment to understanding and continuously enhancing the end-to-end passenger experience,” said Justin Erbacci, Director General of ACI World. “This achievement highlights your role in delivering reliable, high-quality airport experiences.”

Established in 2006, the ASQ program is the world’s leading airport passenger satisfaction initiative. The program evaluates airport performance in real time based on traveler feedback in both departure and arrival experiences.

This award reinforces AUS’s commitment to delivering an exceptional airport experience while continuing to invest in infrastructure, operational excellence, and customer-focused improvements to meet the needs of the Central Texas region, one of the fastest-growing in the country.
