Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) passenger traffic growth for June 2022

AUSTIN, TEXAS – Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) passenger traffic growth for June 2022 was up 44.88% compared to June 2021 with 1,985,801 passengers flying during the month.
 

June 2022
 
Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for June 2022 was 1,985,801, up 44.88% compared to June 2021. June 2022 enplanements totaled 1,009,025, up 43.93%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 747,869, up 55.4%; American Airlines passengers totaled 507,215, up 61.6%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 233,754, up 22.7%; United Airlines passengers totaled 200,788, up 34.1%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 87,380, up 10.6%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 51,865, down 2.4%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 51,544, up 86.9%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 30,755, down 28.8%; British Airways passengers totaled 17,364; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 10,651, down 50.2%; Air Canada passengers totaled 10,139; Hawaiian Airlines passengers totaled 7,684, up 20.4%; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totaled 6,687; Virgin Atlantic passengers totaled 6,385; Lufthansa passengers totaled 6,036; Aeromexico passengers totaled 5,083; Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 4,602, up 4.6%.
 
June 2022 air cargo totaled 26,113,946 lbs., up 53.87% compared to June 2021. International air cargo totaled 801,478 lbs., up 2,228.12%. Federal Express carried 7,394,019 lbs., down 4.8%; Air Transport International carried 5,977,623 lbs.; Atlas Air carried 4,347,833 lbs.; United Parcel Services carried 3,437,662 lbs., up 16.8%; and Amerijet International Airlines carried 1,309,124 lbs.
 
Air Services transferred 553,565 lbs. of mail, down 19.79%; and 2,506,943 lbs. of belly freight, up 126.11%.
 
Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 4,293, up 12.74%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 22,769, up 28.93%.
 
January – June 2022
 
Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for January – June 2022 was 9,995,485, up 107.69%, compared to January – June 2021. January – June 2022 enplanements totaled 5,028,488, up 107.04%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 3,807,859, up 134.8%; American Airlines passengers totaled 2,661,963, up 147.5%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 1,162,007, up 72.1%; United Airlines passengers totaled 1,022,470, up 81%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 451,321, up 84.5%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 255,407, up 8.9%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 190,676, up 153.5%;  JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 180,702, down 11.1%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 65,984, down 34.3%; British Airways passengers totaled 63,474; Hawaiian Airlines passengers totaled 31,440, up 179.8%; Aeromexico passengers totaled 29,366; Air Canada passengers totaled 25,037; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totaled 17,311; Lufthansa passengers totaled 14,497; Virgin Atlantic passengers totaled 7,467; Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 7,447, up 42.4%; Omni Air International passengers totaled 471; Swift Air passengers totaled 301, down 73.7%; and Qatar Airways passengers totaled 285.
 
January – June 2022 air cargo totaled 154,701,360 lbs., up 46.29% compared to January – June 2021. International air cargo totaled 7,228,999 lbs., up 2,102.12%. Federal Express carried 41,848,476 lbs., down 6.7%; Air Transport International carried 39,623,581 lbs., up 1,174.4%; Atlas Air carried 21,317,653, up 1,401.4%; United Parcel Services carried 19,369,404 lbs., up 19.5%; and Amerijet International Airlines carried 8,007,559 lbs., down 16.7%.
 
Air Services transferred 3,680,472 lbs. of mail, down 1.97%; and 16,437,370 lbs. of belly freight, up 300.68%.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 26,230 for January – June 2022, up 26.08%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 132,587, up 63.72%.
