Passenger, Cargo Traffic At Austin-Bergstrom October 2022

AUSTIN, TEXAS – Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) passenger traffic growth for October 2022 was up 31.57% compared to October 2021 with 2,002,078 passengers flying during the month.
 

October 2022

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for October 2022 was 2,002,078, up 31.57% compared to October 2021. October 2022 enplanements totaled 996,719, up 31.15%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 763,509, up 48.8%; American Airlines passengers totaled 498,695, up 25.4%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 228,294, up 11.5%; United Airlines passengers totaled 220,103, up 19.8%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 87,152, up 18.0%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 78,185, up 50.8%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 35,333, up 84.7%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 28,979, down 28.2%; British Airways passengers totaled 15,391, up 351.1%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 12,601, down 38.4%; Hawaiian Airlines passengers totaled 6,195, up 96.0%; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totaled 6,111; Lufthansa passengers totaled 5,653; Aeromexico passengers totaled 5,234, down 3.2%; Virgin Atlantic passengers totaled 4,134; Air Canada passengers totaled 3,649, up 23.9%; Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 2,216, up 33.4%; VivaAerobus passengers totaled 491; and Global Crossing Airlines passengers totaled 153.

October 2022 air cargo totaled 26,885,671 lbs., up 2.14% compared to October 2021. International air cargo totaled 3,528,109 lbs., up 35.77%. Air Transport International carried 7,658,133 lbs., up 57.1%; Federal Express carried 7,034,155 lbs., down 13.7%; United Parcel Services carried 3,226,928 lbs., up 12.7%; and Atlas Air carried 3,111,571 lbs., up 68.3%.

Air Services transferred 604,445 lbs. of mail, down 32.32%; and 2,947,506 lbs. of belly freight, up 68.68%.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 4,684, down 15.25%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 24,112, up 5.32%.
 

January – October 2022

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for January – October 2022 was 17,526,095, up 68.78%, compared to January – October 2021. January – October 2022 enplanements totaled 8,765,743, up 68.66%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 6,723,003, up 89.5%; American Airlines passengers totaled 4,551,517, up 91.3%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 2,032,516, up 40.4%; United Airlines passengers totaled 1,800,653, up 45.6%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 777,089, up 42.4%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 484,231, up 5.3%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 352,374, up 110.6%;  JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 283,054, down 18.8%; British Airways passengers totaled 119,306, up 3,396.7%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 107,858, down 39.4%; Air Canada passengers totaled 61,116, up 1,976%; Hawaiian Airlines passengers totaled 57,267, up 99.7%; Aeromexico passengers totaled 49,901, up 155.7%; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totaled 42,296; Lufthansa passengers totaled 36,971; Virgin Atlantic passengers totaled 26,152; Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 18,567, up 10.8%; Qatar Airways passengers totaled 575; VivaAerobus passengers totaled 491; Omni Air International passengers totaled 471; Swift Air passengers totaled 301, down 83.0%; Qantas Airways passengers totaled 233; and Global Crossing Airlines passengers totaled 153.

January – October 2022 air cargo totaled 260,326,105 lbs., up 37.36% compared to January – October 2021. International air cargo totaled 14,506,410 lbs., up 326.26%. Air Transport International carried 74,311,786 lbs., up 529.0%; Federal Express carried 71,241,955 lbs., down 7.4%; United Parcel Services carried 32,268,767 lbs., up 13.7%; Atlas Air carried 29,770,365 lbs., up 810.6%; and Amerijet International Airlines carried 10,071,060 lbs., down 30.9%.

Air Services transferred 5,824,671 lbs. of mail, down 13.36%; and 27,522,403 lbs. of belly freight, up 188.84%.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 43,315 for January – October 2022, up 13.32%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 225,410, up 40.51%.
