AUSTIN, TEXAS – Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) passenger traffic growth for February 2024 was up 0.10% compared to February 2023 with 1,464,979 passengers flying during the month.

February 2024

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for February 2024 was 1,464,979, up 0.10% compared to February 2023. February 2024 enplanements totaled 730,172, up 0.61%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 610,769, up 7.3%; American Airlines passengers totaled 327,921, down 12.5%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 186,882, up 17.1%; United Airlines passengers totaled 183,369, up 9.9%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 56,851, up 0.8%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 23,168, down 62.5%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 17,318, down 0.1%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 14,592, down 22.9%; British Airways passengers totaled 11,439, up 17.2%; Air Canada passengers totaled 5,631, up 70.1%; Hawaiian Airlines passengers totaled 4,723, up 0.5%; Aeromexico passengers totaled 4,680, up 15.9%; Lufthansa passengers totaled 4,254, up 47.5%; Copa Airlines passengers totaled 4,236; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 3,976, down 52.3%; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totaled 3,972, up 5.6%; Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 1,154, up 321.2%; and Titan Airways passengers totaled 44.

February 2024 air cargo totaled 24,197,089 lbs., down 5.7% compared to February 2023. International air cargo totaled 2,158,041 lbs., up 9.13%. Air Transport International carried 8,351,117 lbs., down 22%; Federal Express carried 6,465,010 lbs., up 1.4%; United Parcel Services carried 2,248,964 lbs., down 18%; Atlas Air carried 1,477,606 lbs., down 2.5%; and Sun Country Airlines carried 1,371,433.

Air Services transferred 143,738 lbs. of mail, down 61.72%; and 3,255,448 lbs. of belly freight, up 0.87%.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 3,519, down 7.42%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 19,100, down 4.67%.

January – February 2024

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for January – February 2024 was 2,948,351, down 0.75% compared to January – February 2023. January – February 2024 enplanements totaled 1,455,766, down 0.87%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 1,215,577, up 6.5%; American Airlines passengers totaled 689,324, down 9.4%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 374,124, up 15.9%; United Airlines passengers totaled 362,874, up 7.3%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 105,302, down 12.1%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 47,081, down 64.1; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 35,102, up 6%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 30,768, down 15.8%; British Airways passengers totaled 24,170, up 10.7%; Aeromexico passengers totaled 9,592, up 11.3%; Air Canada passengers totaled 9,504, up 37%; Lufthansa passengers totaled 8,867, up 18.5%; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totaled 8,564, up 5.5%; Hawaiian Airlines passengers totaled 8,340, down 19.3; Copa Airlines passengers totaled 8,337; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 7,875, down 55.2%; Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 1,770, up 109.2%; Virgin Atlantic passengers totaled 1,136, down 75.8%; and Titan Airways passengers totaled 44.

January – February 2024 air cargo totaled 47,354,495 lbs., down 4.14% compared to January – February 2023. International air cargo totaled 3,680,666 lbs., up 2.65%. Air Transport International carried 16,703,680 lbs., down 13.6%; Federal Express carried 11,873,802 lbs., down 8.9%; United Parcel Services carried 4,684,851 lbs., down 14.1%; Atlas Air carried 3,607,274 lbs., up 16.9%; and Sun Country Airlines carried 2,644,980 lbs.

Air Services transferred 326,240 lbs. of mail, down 59.55%; and 5,911,863 lbs. of belly freight, down 1.92%.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 6,533 for January – February 2024, down 14.22%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 38,816, down 6.26%.
