Once in London, travelers can explore the United Kingdom or connect seamlessly from London Heathrow to the airline’s route network of over 190 destinations across more than 65 countries.

“When British Airways launched this route ten years ago, it put Austin on the map for international travel," said Mayor Kirk Watson. "Establishing transatlantic service marked a pivotal moment in Austin’s growth as a global destination and connected our city to the world. With this expansion to twice-daily service, we’ll see even more opportunities for our community both in business and tourism. This change strengthens Austin's global presence and plays a key role in continuing to drive our economy forward.”

T.C. Broadnax, Austin City Manager, "Austin is a premier destination for international travelers and businesses and this service increase reaffirms that position. I am grateful to our partners at British Airways for increasing options for our community and expanding ways for visitors to discover our incredible city.”

Ghizlane Badawi, AUS CEO, "The addition of twice-daily flights creates more convenient connecting options for our passengers, allowing them greater flexibility and seamless access to international destinations. This milestone highlights the shared commitment between the airport and airline to provide our customers with convenient access to London and beyond. I’m grateful to see this come to fruition after our hard work with our airline partners.”

Neil Chernoff, British Airways’ Chief Planning and Strategy Officer, said: “After ten years of flights between Austin and London, we’re thrilled to be making it even easier for y’all to hop across the pond. Whether it’s for business or pleasure – we look forward to welcoming even more Austinites on board our flights next Summer!”

Doug Driskill, Austin Chamber of Commerce and Opportunity Austin Air Service & Airport Task Forces Chair, “This expanded service is not only a win for travelers heading to London and beyond, but also a vital connector for businesses across Central Texas. The increased frequency strengthens our ties to Europe, opening new opportunities for trade, investment, and collaboration. As a gateway to Europe and Asia, this route is a key driver of economic growth, bringing more international visitors and creating business connections that will benefit our region for years to come.”
