Austin Watershed Protection Projects

Located primarily at the Asian American Resource Center, this project will improve water quality in the Rutherford Tributary of Little Walnut Creek.

This project will reduce the risk of flooding of homes, yards and streets through an upgraded storm drain system that includes detention pond improvements, upgraded storm drain pipe and new storm drain inlets.

There are more than 9,000 buildings in the 100-year floodplain in Austin. In addition, more than 300 bridges are subject to flooding. We plan, design and construct projects to help reduce flood risk and protect the public from the devastating impact

The Del Curto project will improve the storm drain system in the South Lamar area and help protect the area from flooding.

Austin Watershed Protection works on projects that address erosion to create safe and stable stream systems.

This project will reduce localized flooding on Jamestown Drive, protecting yards, trees, buildings and other infrastructure.

This project will reduce flooding for houses and roads near Little Walnut Creek between Metric Blvd. and Rutland Dr. 

Austin Watershed Protection plans, designs and constructs projects to help reduce local flooding.

This project will upgrade the low water crossing on Oak Blvd. and improve the roadside ditches and culverts.
