Krieg Athletic Complex sand volleyball courts and a part of the parking lot will be closed, and trail will be rerouted due to work replacing destroyed waterline at Roy G. Guerrero Park. City Council District 2

Austin Parks Foundation partnered with Austin Parks and Recreation to develop a new trailhead, play area, and dog off-leash area off Springdale Road. The trailhead and play area are open to the public! City Council District 1

Great Springs Project and Austin Parks and Recreation are creating the Lower Colorado Watershed Restoration and Access Plan, bringing together local and regional stakeholders to articulate a vision for projects and programs for a healthy ecosystem.

In 2018 City of Austin voters approved a General Obligation Bond that included funding for the renovation of the beloved Montopolis Pool in Southeast Austin. This project is complete and open to the public! City Council District 3

In late summer 2025, the project started the design development phase. The program will incorporate both Austin Parks and Recreation administrative spaces and community-serving spaces. City Council District 3

The 1922 Norwood House sits on Town Lake Metropolitan Park atop a bluff on the southern side of Lady Bird Lake. Austin Parks and Recreation is evaluating whether to restore the structure or propose an alternate improvement. City Council District 9

During the 2016 rehabilitation of the Chapel, archeologists discovered human remains on site. The rehabilitation of the Chapel and reinterment of the displaced remains was completed in 2021. Further DNA analysis is ongoing. City Council District 1
