On April 10, 2025, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport hosted the Runway to Opportunities Subcontracting Event, connecting local small businesses with prime contractors supporting the airport’s expansion program. The event offered insight into upcoming subcontracting opportunities, guidance on how primes engage with partners, and time for networking.

On November 9 2023, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport hosted the final Journey With AUS Industry Day event of the year for the business and contracting community to learn more about upcoming opportunities across the airport.
 

The event featured a panel discussion from AUS leaders and the City of Austin Economic Development Department & Small and Minority Business Resource Department leadership

Vendor Registration

City of Austin vendor registration is required to receive a contract and work at the airport. Becoming a registered vendor allows you to participate in the City’s procurement process by receiving solicitation notifications for contract opportunities and submitting responses through our website. If awarded a contract or order, an approved account is needed to complete contract execution and process future payments.

Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise Certification

Becoming certified as a Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise is managed by Austin Small and Minority Business Resource Department. They have programs to help businesses get certified, along with resources to help in growing your business.
