Austin Water Projects

The Walnut Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant is one of two regional facilities treating about 50 percent of Austin's wastewater.

The West 35th Street Water and Wastewater Pipeline Renewal Project is part of Renewing Austin, a program strengthening our community’s infrastructure by replacing deteriorating water system lines throughout the city.

The West Riverside Reclaimed Water Main is part of a series of projects that will provide redundancy and reliability of service to reclaimed water customers in Austin.

Austin Water will begin construction on the Westbank Lift Station Odor Control Unit Project which includes installing a permanent odor control unit, minor utility work, and replacing entry gate and driveway starting January 26, 2026.

As part of the Renewing Austin program, Austin Water is bringing improvements to the wastewater system in the Westgate neighborhood.

Austin Water is strengthening wastewater infrastructure and protecting Williamson Creek with the Williamson Creek Wastewater Interceptor project.

The Zilker Water and Wastewater Renewal Project is part of Austin Water’s Renewing Austin Program—an ongoing program to replace and upgrade aging infrastructure.
