If you get a citation for a traffic or criminal violation filed with the City of Austin Municipal Court, you can look up the case details, pay fines, fees and costs, request a deferral, a hearing or a dismissal.

TARA provides assistance to electric utility customers (other than Austin Energy) and gas customers with complaints, questions, and concerns.  Our office strives to mediate complaints to the citizen's satisfaction in a timely fashion, even if the company no longer has a City franchise. We encourage residents to make contact with the utility provider first before contacting our office to escalate the issue.  The normal process is to give the company an opportunity to resolve the complaint before the TARA office escalates.  TARA is only able to escalate consumer issues with the following utility providers: Texas Gas Service, SiEnergy, Centerpoint Energy, ATMOS Energy, Bluebonnet Electric Co-op, Pedernales Electric Co-op, Spectrum, Grande Communications, AT&T, and Google Fiber.

The Health Department provides many health screening services, including Hepatitis, Tuberculosis, Sexually Transmitted Diseases, and HIV/AIDS.

PHBs are pedestrian activated warning devices. The beacon consists of two red lights above a single yellow light. The beacon head is "dark" or unlit until a pedestrian activates the device.

All private haulers that collect, remove, or transport waste, recycling, and/or organic/compost within the City of Austin for a fee must obtain a private hauler license (City of Austin Code 15-6, Article 3).

Disability awareness training called ADAtude is provided in regular orientations for employees and other classes; i.e. employment, evacuation, and effective communication as requested.

Fire Department approval is required to install a stationary Liquefied Petroleum gas (LP-Gas) aboveground or underground container or LP-Gas cylinder exchange cabinet at commercial businesses, multi-family housing, and one- and two-family dwellings. 

Water Quality/Drainage reviewers in the Land Use Division perform pre-construction review for water quality and drainage for site plans and subdivision plans to assure compliance with the Land Development Code.
